Worship begins at 10:00 am on Sunday morning and usually ends around 11:15. Feel free to wear whatever is comfortable. Parking can be limited, but metered spaces on the street are free on Sunday morning.
When you enter the sanctuary through the main red doors facing College Street, you will be met by a greeter, who will be happy to help you with any questions you might have. If you have children 4 years old or younger, you may choose to take them to the nursery. (A greeter will be happy to help you find your way there.) We would be grateful if you would fill out a name tag.
You’ll also be given an order of service, which will help you know what to expect during the service. During time for kids, all children and youth are invited to join Pastor Ken at the front of the sanctuary for a brief discussion. Parents are welcome to come up with children if that helps them feel more comfortable. Most Sundays, children and youth leave service after time for kids and go to church school.
When the offering plate is passed, please do not feel obligated to put anything in (although we’d love it if you would drop a visitor’s card in the plate).
During the postlude, it is customary to sit until the music is finished. Afterwards, there are usually some sort of snack and beverage in the back of the church. We hope that you will stick around for a few minutes after church so we can get to know you better! (If you have children or youth in church school, please go downstairs first to pick them up so they can share in the snacks and greetings.)
If you want to know more about the church, you are always welcome to come by and speak with Pastor Ken about College Street Congregational and ways that you might want to get involved.
We hope to see you soon!
