We believe that God’s call to us to share the Good News of God’s love for all begins at home. We support the following ministries here in Vermont:

Joint Urban Ministry Project (JUMP)
JUMP is a Burlington-based project bringing together faith communities to provide spiritual care, advocacy, and emergency assistance to families and individuals who are having trouble meeting basic daily needs. CSCC partners with JUMP in many ways: through donations of soap and shampoo, financial support, and volunteer assistance. We also make annual donations of food bags for those in need.

Vermont Interfaith Action (VIA)
College Street is a member congregation of Vermont Interfaith Action. VIA brings together faith communities in a grassroots partnership to effect change for social justice. VIA projects include work towards affordable housing, equitable health care, support for youth, neighborhoods, and immigrant communities, among many other projects. One of the VIA initiatives with which College Street has been involved is  the Movement Toward a Moral Economy effort. CSCC supports VIA through financial partnership, volunteer support, and local organizing activities.

Outright VT
Each week, we provide food for the Friday Night peer support group at the Burlington chapter of Outright Vermont. Click here to see how you can help.

Committee on Temporary Shelter
COTS provides supports for the homeless in the greater Burlington area. We support the work of COTS through donations, participation in the annual COTS Walk fundraiser, and donations of items needed to supply homeless shelters.

Meals on Wheels
College Street members have been long-standing partners with Meals on Wheels, staffing deliveries on a monthly schedule through our loyal system of volunteers.

Pride Vermont
College Street Congregational Church is an Open and Affirming congregation, welcoming all members of God’s family. We show our diverse colors, and support our LGBT members, by turning out a big contingent for the annual Pride Vermont Parade—gay and straight, children and seniors, and families in all our diversity.

Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf
We provide ongoing support for the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf through regular donations of food and household items.
