One of the first things you will notice at College Street is that children and youth are a celebrated part of our community. Each Sunday in worship our K – 12th graders circle up for Time for Kids with Pastor Ken before heading downstairs to classes. On first Sundays each month, we have Pan Gen Worship where kids and youth stay upstairs to participate in the full worship service and Communion. We gather at a special pan gen rug area with hand-on materials that will help us listen along, wiggle as needed, and respond with art. When they go downstairs to faith formation classes, kids are met with age-appropriate classroom environments and a thoughtful curriculum that includes all varieties of learning styles with games, craft, and story. Our congregation generously supports their programs and growth in all sorts of other ways, too: professionally staffed Nursery, Youth Choir, mentor-based Confirmation Program, annual Mission Trips, and regular Friday Night Youth Group. Many of our children and youth also love participating as Acolytes and Special Readers as well as in our Christmas Pageant. You will find all ages laughing together on Game Nights, at our Chili Cook-Off and Carnival, making lunches for COTS, and during our hospitality hour after worship.

Youth Choir is led by our beloved Director of Music, Yona Yellin, and is open to kids ages 6 and up. They meet regularly for 30-minute rehearsals immediately following Sunday morning worship services, and they sing in several services throughout the year.
